January at Liberty Lodge No. 95

January was an active month for Liberty Lodge and the 24th Masonic District.  Liberty Lodge supported our District Deputy Grand Master as he began his official visits.  We started with a large group going to Mentow Lodge, where Brother Pleasants presented the Travelling Spoon.

The evening of the District Deputy Grand Master’s Official Visit began with a “DELICIOUS” dinner of  Louisiana shrimp and grits, prepared by Kerri Ruff with the assistance of our Worshipful Master.  The DDGM  presents the Grand Master’s program and vision, for the year; which is important.  But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some fun during the event.  Wor. David Peal, Master of Bedford 244 presented the Travelling Spoon to Wor. Dwayne and Liberty Lodge.  And just like that, the next evening, Liberty Lodge presents the Travelling Spoon to Wor. Jimmy Clayton at Chamblissburg No.179.

Not to be deterred by snow and bad weather; not even a recalcitrant Worshipful Master; Izzy’s Liberty Raiders rallied in support of Wor. Dwayne to secure the Travelling Gavel from Forest Lodge. Thank you Forest Lodge for a good dinner and meeting.
