Brethren of Liberty 95, Greetings!

At our March stated meeting, we gathered in fraternal unity to discuss an important matter first brought forth during the Grand Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Virginia held last November. The topic of raising fees for new candidates was deliberated, and after thoughtful consideration, it was unanimously approved to increase the Grand Lodge fee for raising, by $50.00, to a new total of $100.00.

As a result of the Grand Lodge increase; to ensure transparency and adherence to our principles, we, as a lodge, collectively proposed to increase our Fees for Degrees by $80.00; from $150.00 to $230.00, which includes the Grand Lodge fee for raising. This proposal was made with the intention of maintaining financial sustainability, bringing us just above the break-even point. Due to the special nature and location of our April meeting, the vote on the proposed by-laws will take place at the May 13 stated communication.

Looking ahead, we have some significant events on the horizon. On April 4th, please join me on a Fraternal Visit to Bedford 244 for the Official Visit of Most Worshipful Jack K. Lewis, Grand Master. This visit presents a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and mutual support among our brethren.

On April 8th, Liberty 95 will hold its meeting in our former Lodge Building on E. Main Street, now the Bedford Mu- seum. In addition to receiving our Grand Lodge visitors, we are planning to commemorate this occasion by reenact- ing the iconic photo taken in front of the building in 1913. We kindly invite all brethren to join us in this historic reenactment. We will gather outside at 7:00 pm sharp. If you require transportation to the lodge that night, please reach out to us, and we will ensure you are accommodated. There is an elevator available to get to the Lodge room.

Let us continue to uphold the values of Freemasonry and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood as we move forward with these endeavors.
